Hall of Horns
Most people pull a Glass Trumpet, shrug, and drop it in the bulk box. We think it’s one of the best-looking Trainer cards ever printed: a trumpet of crystal glass, catching the light on a field of blue. This page is the story of the card, how it’s played, who drew it, and the copies in our own binder.

The card
“You can use this card only if you have any Tera Pokémon in play. Choose up to 2 of your Benched Colorless Pokémon and attach a Basic Energy card from your discard pile to each of them.”
That’s the whole card: two Energy back from the discard pile in one Item, as long as a Tera Pokémon is on the field. The art shows a trumpet that looks cut from crystal, which suits the Terastal theme of the Scarlet & Violet era it was born into.
How it’s played
Terapagos ex’s best friend
Stellar Crown brought Terapagos ex and the Stadium Area Zero Underdepths, and Glass Trumpet was the engine that made the deck run. Terapagos ex is a Colorless Tera Pokémon, so the Trumpet’s condition switches itself on. Each copy can put Energy back onto two benched Colorless attackers and support Pokémon, like Noctowl or Bouffalant, which fixes Terapagos ex’s awkward attack costs. In practice it plays like a double Dark Patch for Colorless decks.
A tournament regular
Winning Terapagos ex lists usually ran three or four copies. Limitless TCG counts the card in more than 700 tracked tournament decklists, plus about 1,600 from Japanese City Leagues. It also turned up in combo decks, such as Blissey ex and Galvantula ex, where the Trumpet loads Energy that Blissey ex’s Happy Switch moves on.

Why we’re chasing them
Bulk with a story
An uncommon that sold for pennies, reprinted across three years, in English, Japanese, both Chinese scripts, the European languages, and more, with a dozen stamps and foils. That makes it the perfect thing to complete: cheap to start, and hard to finish.
The goal
A binder with one of every Glass Trumpet: every set, every language, every stamp. Check the Trumpet Binder to see how far we’ve gotten, and visit the Trade Tracker to see who’s helped.
